To set up new insurance providers or edit existing ones, go to the RO Functions menu at the top of the dashboard and select “System Set Up”. Find the Insurance section along the bottom row.
Adding a new Insurance Provider #
Step 1: #

Enter the name of the Insurance Provider in the first field and the touch time (hours) in the second field at the bottom of the list. Click the “+” button when done. The new Insurance company will be added to the list in alphabetical order.
Note: When you import an RO into Production Accelerator, the Insurance company name on the estimate is imported automatically to the Insurance company list alongside any that you have manually created. If the name is different in any way, this may result in duplicate variations of what should be one insurance provider. To overcome this, we’ve added the ability to designate an Insurance provider as a “parent” and then map related names to that parent.
Editing an Insurance Provider #

In the dialog box that appears, there are four (4) tabs available.

- Dependents – Shows a list of insurance providers who have been assigned as dependents.

Map to ‘Parent’: #
You can either designate the currently selected Insurance provider as the a parent or map it as a dependent to another existing provider.

Dependents: #
This tab just shows a list of any currently assigned dependents to the currently selected Insurance provider. There is no other functionality on this tab.

Note: When you import an RO to Production Accelerator, the Insurance company on the estimate is imported automatically to the Insurance company list.
Understanding Parents & Dependents #

As described above, when you import an RO into Production Accelerator, the Insurance company name on the estimate is imported automatically to the Insurance company list alongside any that you have manually created. If the name is different in any way, this may result in duplicate variations of what should be one insurance provider. To overcome this, we’ve added the ability to designate an Insurance provider as a “parent” and then map related names to that parent.
For instance, you may find a situation like the following which shows several Geico variations:
- Geico
- Geico RX
- Geico Secure Insurance Company
If there is no reason to differentiate between these variations, you can assign the “parent” delegation to perhaps “Geico” and have the other two assigned as dependents. This allows filtering from the Production Accelerator dashboard to show a single insurance provider (Geico) as opposed to three variations. This will aid in searches and filtering greatly.
